Currystone Foundation

The Curry Stone Foundation (CSF), founded in 2007, is the inspiration of Cliff Curry FAIA, architect, urban planner and developer, and historical archaeologist Dr. Delight Stone, RPA.

CSF’s mission is to empower the practice of community-driven social impact design.  The Foundation supports groups and individuals using design to build healthier, more vital communities.  CSF actively advocates for the use of design as a tool for social change, especially in marginalized communities. In all cases, the Foundation encourages designers and communities to work in close collaboration.

The overall strategy was to create a welcoming and accessible destination for the social design community, university programs and others curious to learn how design can be used as a tool to improve lives and address social injustices throughout the world. We developed a holistic strategy for the website to create greater accessibility to information, improve the user experience and inspire people to positively change the world through design.

PROJECT DETAILS
Create a site architecture that is engaging, SEO friendly, accessible and intuitive. We created a system of custom post types, topics and keywords that fed into a custom search index which fed into the custom search to create a flexible and responsive search platform. This also provided the ability to create relationships for cross referencing purposes.

Another fun mini project was creating a custom audio player for the podcasts that would be used through the site. We tied the players to both google analytics and to various other podcasts platforms to help track audience engagement and site performance.
