A not-so-everyday artist specializing in digital design and front-end web development.
Currently, I am employed as a Senior Designer and Lead Developer at a small agency located in New York City. With over two decades of experience in graphic design and web development I’ve had the privilege to work on a diverse range of projects with involvement throughout the complete life cycle of each project.
My role varies there based on the needs of the project and available resources. My go to UI/UX apps are XD, Figma or Sketch and this varies based on the client workflows. For development, working in Visual Studio Code makes it easy to get in the the latest UI/UX changes so we can push them out for QA in order to close out our tickets for the current sprint. Of course, using git for versioning is a must on any project and I currently have repos on github and bitbucket. Having experience in both areas gives me the ability to rapidly design and prototype layouts that are easily translated to development based on the tools and libraries that are planned for production.
As a certified full stack developer and front-end web developer I have professional experience in both React and VueJS and extensive knowledge designing and developing for e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce).
When I’m not behind a screen you can find me cycling, swimming, hiking, sketching, cooking and traveling.
Fun fact: I used to be a freelance colorist for DC comics working on recolors of Superman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern etc. Needless to say, I have way too many comic books in storage.
